It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, a small dining table that seats 2 and a separate living room.There is a queen size bed in one bedroom, and there are two twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with a traditional tub/ shower combination.The Wild Plum East also its own entrance and a porch with rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy the Texas Hill Country views and weather.Guest accessYou can park directly in front of the Wild Plum East Cabin for easy access in and out. You can enjoy a stroll around our 8 acres of property or sit and relax in our shady, wooded areas.We're located at the junction of the Llano and Colorado Rivers, on Lake LBJ, and we have walk-way access to Lake LBJ. There is a bench to take in the view, and there is a boat pier for day docking up to 2 boats. You can also fish off the pier if you have a fishing license. We have water "toys," including non-motorized kayaks and life jackets. Everything is on a first come, first serve basis.On-site, we have Hooper's restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday and for breakfast and lunch on Sundays. Built in the 1880's by the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway, you can stay in an accommodation is unique part of Texas History and has been updated with comfortable, modern furnishings. We are located in Kingsland, Texas and have lake access to Lake LBJ for swimming, fishing and water sports. Additionally, we are close to restaurants, shopping, golf, state parks and a winery in town.The SpaceThe Train Depot sleeps 8 people comfortably. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table that seats 8 and a large living room.In each bedroom, each of the king size beds and bedding are newly updated. There is a queen sofa sleeper in one of the bedrooms, and there is a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Bed linens are provided.The Train Depot also has a wrap-around deck with an accessible ramp. While enjoying your stay with us, stroll amongst our spacious lawns, reflective gardens, and shady wooded areas. Antlers Lake LBJ Park, along the water frontage of Lake LBJ, includes picnic tables, a pier for fishing and kayak launching, or open areas for relaxing.
Three different styles of accommodations are here for your choosing. Traditional guest rooms with private baths, one or two-room cabins and cottages, or train cars fully updated to accommodate overnight stays.
Guests will enjoy dining at our restaurant, Grand Central Cafe, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and cocktails at the Club Car Bar next to the restaurant. Restaurants and bars are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
The Antlers Inn is a Texas Historic Landmark Hotel and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The railroad opened the Antlers Inn in 1901 for tourists arriving by train. This stately two-story building surrounded by porches is an elegant choice for visitors to Kingsland and the Texas Hill Country. The original inn offered luxury by the rivers, and we are proud to continue that tradition today.
