GOURMET GETAWAY WEEKENDS

sitting room of the Victoria Suite

We have just completed our seventh summer season since the reopening of The Antlers Hotel and we now look forward to the cooler temperatures and colors of fall.

The Antlers is excited to begin offering Gourmet Getaway Weekends, with the first catered event on Saturday, October 12th. We have set aside the six hotel suites for the exclusive use of your group of  twelve attendees (six couples).  The weekend package includes your Saturday night hotel stay and a four course Saturday night dinner catered and served by Chef Eva Holtzer in the hotel’s dining room, complete with wines from nearby hill country vineyards. An additional nights stay, either Friday or Sunday can be added at a reduced rate.  Come and relax with your friends or treat your business clients to a memorable outing. If you would like, we can assist in making arrangements for your weekend to include a round of golf, a winery tour or a boat trip on the Vanishing Texas River Cruise.

Additional Gourmet Weekends

Scheduled for November 9th and in 2003 on January 18th and February 22nd. If you have a special date you would like to schedule, please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Chef Eva Rutishauser Broad

Born in Switzerland, Eva grew up in the restaurant business working in a family restaurant her grandmother operated for 72 years. Additional formal training and restaurant experience led to a 10 year career as a cooking instructor in Switzerland. In 1994, while traveling in Bali, she met a Texan, Tyson Broad, and the two were married two years later and moved to Llano. Eva and Tyson operated Holtzer House Café in Llano for five years prior to opening her cooking school and catering business.  Eva’s cultural background and experience blends Swiss, French, German and Italian influences together with her newly adopted Southwestern flavors and will create a delightful meal and a memorable weekend.
